Basingstoke is preparing to welcome the festive season as Festive Friday returns to Top of the Town on Friday 20 November, from 5pm to 8pm, offering an evening of Christmas entertainment, shopping and seasonal treats for the whole family.
Organised by Love Basingstoke and funded by Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council, the free event will bring the town centre to life with a Christmas market featuring local businesses and independent stallholders selling unique gifts, handmade products and delicious festive treats.
Visitors can enjoy a packed programme of entertainment throughout the evening, including appearances from cheeky pantomime characters from Pumpkin Pantos, live performances and music from a local DJ filling the square with festive favourites.
There will also be plenty of activities for all ages, including Christmas crafts and festive games, while businesses at the Top of the Town will be serving a range of food and drink to help visitors make the most of the celebrations.
Cabinet Member for Sports, Leisure and Culture Cllr Kerry Morrow said:
